ras_author_credits

ras_author_credits returns an href(or not) list of authors with statistics as defined by attribute setting and form values.

Authors are defined as all users who have posted article data, file uploads, or images for the site. TXP's standard list attributes are supported including section and this_section, also a type attribute is available to discriminate amongst user privileges.
The type attribute's options must match exactly the available choices as displayed in TXP's user list options, as follows:

  • Publisher (1)
  • Managing Editor (2)
  • Copy Editor (3)
  • Staff writer (4)
  • Freelancer (5)
  • Designer (6)

Also integer values matching these or custom values can currently be from 0 thru 9. (0 = no privs setting)

The type attribute will accept individual types or integers or a comma delimited list of either or both.

  2. Hi. The ras_author_list is exactly what I needed. I will send off a donation today!

One question on this though, I used the simple tag of: <txp:ras_author_list break=“li” wraptag=“ul” type=“Publisher,Managing Editor,Copy Editor,Staff writer,Freelancer,7” label=“Editors” labeltag=“h3” /> And it produces a list of the websites Authors. However, when I click one of the links it sends me out of the page I was on (Articles) and back to the Home page. I’m not a tag expert, so I’m wondering how I can point the results to a specific page.

One other question, do you have a similar plugin to list all categories?

    Best,
    Richard

  3. Hi,
ras_author_list has a “section” attribute that you can set to a specific section name. When you set “on front page” to no for that section you can assign a specific page of your choice as the landing page for that section. You can also use the “this_section” attribute as a way of restricting to the current section. This will also restrict articles to those assigned to both section and author, however.

There is a core tag called category_list:“http://textcastle.com/reference_4_3/category_list.html” that author_list was patterned after that does the same for categories, the link provided will take you to a brief description; the best is on textbook @ category_list:“http://textpattern.net/wiki/index.php?title=category_list” which is more comprehensive write-up.
